Mike Elward is a trainer, consultant and coach who works with organisations across Guernsey's finance sector, the civil service, health and social care, education, and care and dementia homes. His work focuses on developing people, strengthening leadership capability, and supporting organisations through periods of cultural and operational change.

Mike coaches individuals around the world and has supported employees from organisations such as the Open University and HSBC in developing their careers through one-to-one coaching. His consultancy work has recently centred on cultural transformation, helping teams and leaders build clarity, confidence and shared purpose.

Before founding Next Level Training, Mike worked in education for 23 years, spending the final 12 years of his career in senior leadership roles, including serving as Acting Principal. This background gives him a deep understanding of people, performance, and organisational dynamics.

Before education, Mike was an officer in the Royal Navy, developing strong leadership skills in demanding situations. He has an undergraduate degree and a master’s in History, Politics, and International Relations, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
